History - From Telecommunications to Recovery
Maintenance of equipment for Norwegian telecommunications. That was the beginning of Ibas in 1978. We gradually moved into repairing computer equipment in the early 1980's. In 1982 we moved into data recovery. Since then, we have built up competence, proprietary tools and equipment. Our experience and competence within data recovery moved Ibas into data erasure services during the 1990’s. In 2001 we made computer forensics to its own business area.
Today, Ibas is one of the world's leading companies in Data Recovery, Data Erasure and Computer Forensics. Ibas has subsidiaries in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany, England, France, Poland, Singapore and distributors in the Benelux, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Turkey and Hong Kong as well as partners in Canada and USA. The Head Office is located in Kongsvinger, Norway. Ibas is listed on Oslo Stock Exchange (Ticker: IBAS).
