Erase sensitive information from on old PC's

The background for the agreement is that Customs and Tax Authorities must remove absolutely any and all information from their computers before they are discarded. Very often when private businesses and government organisations replace their computers, the old computers pose a serious security risk. Complete erasure of all data on a hard disk is much more difficult than most computer users are aware of. The normal delete commands such as "trash bin", "delete" and "formatting" do not provide sufficiently reliable and dependable erasure of data.
