Virus does not delete data files
Customers have contacted Ibas' companies over the whole of
Europe in despair about having lost data. After the "Love letter" virus,
Ibas received more than 300 inquiries from frantic customers. Many of these
had been informed that all hope was lost after the virus attack. Similar
misinformation has now been given in connection with the VBS virus.
Recovery
- We have developed our own tools that can recover the files, even if the
virus sets the file length to zero. We receive such work weekly, though not
always as the result of a virus, but simply due to user mishaps. Even if the
file system has been "written over", we have extensive file knowledge from
more than 20 years of experience. This means that we can read where the
files start and end and can therefore recover the data, Marketing Manager
